so i have been feeling the new rise against song lately. its called savior.

it kills me not to know this but i've all but just forgotten
what the color of her eyes were and her scars or how she got them
as the telling signs of age rain down a single tear is dropping
through the valleys of an aging face that this world has forgotten

there is no reconciliation that will put me in my place
and there is no time like the present to drink these draining seconds
but seldom do these words ring true when i'm constantly failing you
walls that we just can't break through until we disappear
so tell me now
if this ain't love then how do we get out?
cause i don't know
that's when she said i don't hate you boy
i just want to save you while there's still something left to save
that's when i told her i love you girl
but i'm not the answer for the questions that you still have

and the day pressed on like crushing weights
for no man does it ever wait
like memories of dying days
that deafen us like hurricanes
bathed in flames held the brand
uncurled your fingers in your hand
pressed into the flesh like sand
now do you understand?
so tell me now
if this ain't love then how do we get out?
cause i don't know
that's when she said i don't hate you boy
i just want to save you while there's still something left to save
that's when i told her i love you girl
but i'm not the answer for the questions that you still have

one thousand miles away
there's nothing left to say
but so much left that i don't know
we never had a choice
this world is too much noise
it takes me under
it takes me under once again

i don't hate you
i don't hate you, no
so tell me now
if this ain't love then how do we get out?
cause i don't know
that's when she said i don't hate you boy
i just want to save you while there's still something left to save
that's when i told her i love you girl
but i'm not the answer to the questions that you still have
i don't hate you
i dont hate you, no

alison is giving me a hard time.
so ya. peace.

its been a while.

holy crap! i cant believe that i havent posted on here since april. i guess thats what happens when you arent sitting around the house bored and snowed in. it has been raining for the last month. im about sick of that. today the sun is kinda out. well the clouds are bright at least. i had to put my sunglasses on for the first time in a reeeaaally long time. i have been thinking about going to a tanning booth. partly to keep from going crazy and partly to even out my awful farmers tan for alisons wedding. i ordered my dress last weekend and it should be coming in sometime this coming week. i am eager to see it. the one i tried on was this awful shade of peach...
so lets see... what else can i tell you about? um... i have been thinking about going back to doing hair. im not really excited about it but i need to find something else to do this winter because i really really dont want to plow again. and i would like to move back to the portland area relatively soon so it would be nice to be making more money and i was also thinking it would be nice to have a job in the portland area instead of a half an hour north of here. my job has been especially terrible lately. in addition to the fucking endless rain, my bosses are being dicks about stupid shit. like our uniforms. whether or not our shirts are tucked in. its pretty foolish. and now we dont have any real work so they have made me a mowing crew leader. i dont want to mow lawns. i want to play in the dirt. its not what i enjoy doing and the rain has made it even less fun. i spend half of the day elbow deep in soggy grass clippings trying to unclog my mower. so dumb. and its not like i was given any sort of choice in the matter. it wasnt like hey amy how do you feel about mowing? it was more like hey amy this is what you are going to do. fucking bastards.
so ya. other than work life is good. im happier than i have been in a long time. my boyfriend is amazing. i went to watch him play ultimate frisbee for the first time last night. that was entertaining. it was pouring rain about 50% of the time and glenn fell about a half a dozen times. which made standing in the rain worth it. that and the half keg of home brew that i had mostly to myself while everyone else was distracted with playing frisbee. beer definitely warms you up a little. i did end up having to pee behind a chicken barn. in the rain. but even that was entertaining... i think i am going to try to convince glenn to go play outside now. but i am going to try to get back in the swing of updating this more often. maybe.
